Hello, this is BlakesBlog. I am from probably one of the most boring cities in the Midwest, also known as St. Louis. Anyone who knows anything about St. Louis probably only knows about our sport teams and the arch. The arch that is our prized monument here although it is literally a big metal arch. Being born here and spending the last 17 years of my life here has lead me to be a really big sports fans. Given that, most of what I write will probably be along the lines of something happening with professional sports. Every time the St. Louis sports talk is brought up we have to worry about being reminded once again of who left the city. That would be the Los Angeles Rams. It was bitter for the city to lose them, but not a huge loss because the last time they had been good here was before I was born. Following that, St. Louis was left with the St. Louis Blues and Cardinals. In my lifetime I’ve seen multiple World Series wins and short playoff runs by the Blues. No matter what happens, the thing always bring everyone back to games is the culture around here. Everyone loves their St. Louis sports teams. The Cardinals have over forty thousand fans at eighty games a season, and no matter what has happened with hockey there has always still been hope. Since this is really all St. Louis has to offer, why not get sucked in?
